Nestled in the rolling hills of Kentucky’s Bluegrass region, Boyle County offers a blend of deep-rooted American heritage & forward-looking innovation. Known proudly as the “City of Firsts,” Danville holds a special place in Kentucky’s story — home to the Commonwealth’s first constitutional convention & a birthplace of democracy on the frontier.
Our county’s heritage extends throughout its communities. Perryville, site of one of the most significant Civil War battles fought on Kentucky soil, stands today as a living monument to courage & preservation, drawing visitors from across the nation to walk its hallowed grounds. Situated on the south side of Boyle County, Junction City emerged from the rail lines that once powered Kentucky’s commerce, & its enduring spirit of industry continues to connect people, goods, & opportunity across the region.
