Develop Danville (the Danville-Boyle County Development Corporation) is the lead economic development organization for our community & a key partner of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce. Through this alliance, we work alongside local governments & other community partners to market Boyle County, attract new investment, support existing businesses, & coordinate resources that strengthen our local economy & quality of life.

Main Street Perryville is a key partner of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce within the Develop Danville alliance, working together to strengthen Boyle County’s small-business economy through a focus on vibrant, historic downtowns. As the Main Street organization for downtown Perryville, it leads preservation & revitalization efforts along Merchants’ Row—recognized as the oldest active commercial district in the United States—while the Chamber provides regional advocacy, connections, & business support that can help those downtown enterprises grow & thrive.

Through this partnership, DowntownPerryville.com becomes more than a tourism or events page; it is a hub where local merchants, entrepreneurs, & visitors intersect with the broader economic development network serving Boyle County. Coordinated planning, joint promotion of events, & shared resources ensure that Perryville’s historic character, community identity, & small businesses are fully integrated into countywide business development.

Our county government partner provides passionate leadership, policy support, & strategic investment in countywide development priorities that directly benefit our business community. Through Boyle County Fiscal Court, local government sits at the same table with the Chamber & our other Develop Danville partners to align infrastructure, quality-of-life projects, & long-range planning with the needs of employers, entrepreneurs, & workforce.

Boyle County Fiscal Court is the governing body of Boyle County, responsible for budgeting, capital investments, & key policy decisions that shape our local business climate. The Court is comprised of County Judge Executive Trille Bottom & six elected magistrates who represent districts across the county: Tom Ellis (District 1), Paula Bodner (District 2), Barry Harmon (District 3), Jason M. Cullen (District 4), Jamey Gay (District 5), & Steve Sleeper (District 6).

Boyle County Fiscal Court collaborates with this partnership on initiatives that support industrial recruitment, small business growth, tourism, downtown revitalization, & workforce development. Their ongoing financial support, representation on boards, & engagement in joint planning ensure that county policies & investments are creating a unified, pro-growth environment for businesses throughout Boyle County.

The City of Danville provides comprehensive business & development resources—from site selection assistance & business licensing to planning, zoning, infrastructure, & local investment initiatives—that align directly with the needs of our business community.

Through specialized programs such as JumpStart & Business Retention & Expansion, Danville’s staff collaborate with the Chamber to walk alongside both new & existing businesses, helping them navigate local processes, access incentives, & connect with the right partners at each stage of their journey. This hands-on approach complements the Chamber’s advocacy, networking, & member services, creating a coordinated support system that will help businesses launch, expand, & thrive in Danville’s vibrant commercial districts. The City is a core partner in our shared economic development work, collaborating to support entrepreneurs, employers, & community growth across Boyle County.

The Danville Board of Commissioners serves as the City’s legislative & executive body, setting policy, adopting budgets, & shaping the strategic priorities that impact our local business climate.

The Board is composed of five members: Mayor James J.H. Atkins, Commissioner Donna Peek (Mayor Pro Tem), Commissioner Kevin Caudill, Commissioner Jennie Hollon, & Commissioner Audrey Serres. Their leadership, in partnership with City staff & regional economic development organizations, ensures that Danville remains a forward-looking, business-ready community where public investment, planning, & programs are intentionally aligned with long-term economic growth.
